I consider myself to be very fortunate that I live close to a beach.  When I say close, I mean, I can get there in less than 2 minutes if am not hauling a kayak with me.

When I woke up this morning, I was not able to fall back to sleep as I usually do on a Saturday.  Maybe I was simply compelled to visit the bathroom to have a quick meditation, or maybe it was something else.

With everything that I have going on, I find myself unable to press the snooze button on my brain, so I chose to take advantage of the fact that the weather was a complete surprise (http://bit.ly/gZzXHP) and head down to the beach for some inspiration.

Well, my trip to the beach, although beautiful and calming, only inspired me to return to my warm home as quickly as I could. Please, don’t get me wrong, it IS 46ºF which is pretty warm considering the past few days, but the gale-force winds proved that; despite the fact that I was wearing gloves, earmuffs, long underwear and a scarf; would provide adequate warmth as they still chilled me as if I were bare.

I did decide, since I walked all of the way down and around to the least windy spot I could find, I took some pictures of what I found inspiring. (I forgot to mention that my decision to go to the beach was to look for inspiration, so I did accomplish my goal.  Score one for the little guy! yay!)

When it got too cold to enjoy the scenery any longer, I packed up my chair and trodded back up to the concrete and was happy that the wind subsided the further up the block I traveled. I then chose to still pursue my waking idea of using the outdoors to give me the inspiration I desperately need to accomplish the projects I currently have on my plate by setting up shop on my back patio.

Practically windless, bathed in sunlight so I can soak up all the VD (vitamin D, don’t get silly) I can get, and completely surrounded by the sounds of nature indigenous to our cove, and the “passers-by”, I have finally found the inspiration I need to begin one of my number of projects for today.

Ps….this entry was also inspired by something someone posted in the social media realm that made cleaning the house so much fun!!!  Thank you GG, I appreciate your wit!

Now, here are the pictures that I took, that I was pleased with.  I hope you enjoy them!

The sky does not have to be the limit

Freedom to soar over the highest bridge

The world is waiting for me!

It looked like a manatee to me
